Chin and Cheek Augmentation

As is the case with noses, the chin and cheeks may often require contouring of their profiles. Since most of the contour is dependent on the bony infrastructure it I usually this area that needs to be addressed.

Chin Augmentation

In some specific cases where there is over or underdevelopment of the upper and lower jaw, maxillofacial jaw surgery maybe required, but more often than not a much simpler operation can correct an under developed maxilla (cheek) or chin.

Depending on the patients desire and the areas that are deficient, there are different shape and size implants for both of these structures as there is for the nose. The implants are usually made of a rubbery silicone that is placed over the bone. After measurements are taken and expectations are gone over these implant may be placed through and eyelid incision or mouth incision for the cheek implant or a mouth incision or under the chin skin incision for the chin.

Which incision is used is often decided upon by what other surgical procedures a person is having such as an eyelid lift or a facelift and what the patient and surgeon decide is the best.

You will be introduced to your surgeon, permitting you the opportunity to learn and discuss the technical aspects of the surgery you are interested in. At the time of your visit our staff will provide you with a price quote and scheduling information.
