Ocean Plastic Surgery Center - Los Alamitos & Newport Beach, California

Los Alamitos, California---Ocean Plastic Surgery Center (www.oceanplasticsurgery.com) is conducting a “bra drive” to benefit Women Helping Women (WHW), an Orange County nonprofit organization founded in 1993 by two women who were victims of domestic abuse. Since then, WHW has assisted more than 10,000 low-income women who face significant barriers to employment through career counseling, job placement, wardrobe and image consulting and computer skills training. The “bra drive” is an idea of Dr. Bill Aiello a plastic surgeon and founder and medical director at Ocean Plastic Surgery Center. Dr. Aiello, who along with his associate Dr. Farbod Esmailian performs hundreds of breast augmentations annually, discovered that these patients no longer need their “gently used” expensive brassieres. Rather than discard these bras, Dr. Aiello’s devised a solution to donate the bras to WHW and is requesting others in the community who also have new or “gently used” bras in excellent condition to consider doing the same.

“Dr. Aiello’s idea offers an excellent way for women to help other women,” said Jeanne Flint, director of WHW. “Donating gently used bras that no longer fit benefits women who have little or no money for undergarments that are the foundation for the look and feel of their clothing. Our clients are grateful for such generosity.”

Some of the best-dressed women in Orange County donate their high-end clothes to help outfit WHW clients. WHW receives gently used clothing from private donors, corporate and organizational clothing drives and from manufacturers. Most of the small and larger sizes including 0-8 and 18+ must be purchased. However, WHW helps outfit all women, whatever their sizes. For more information on Women Helping Women, visit http://www.whw.org.
