Breast Asymmetry

The Procedure

BREAST ASYMMETRY refers to the differences between your two breasts. You may see an asymmetry as a discrepancy in the size or shape between your left and right breast. It could also be a difference of where the breast sits on the chest. In many cases one breast will sit higher than the other. Sometimes the rib cage is different on the right and left sides and may make one of your breasts sit at an angle or protrude slightly. These asymmetries are very common and nothing to be concerned about. Most women have some form of breast asymmetry ranging from almost indetectable to the very extreme.

As you review our patient photos take time to examine the pre and post-operative views closely. Keep in mind that the breast augmentation surgery takes on many shapes and sizes. Our goal is that you are pleased with the very natural look and feel of your breasts.

At the time of your initial consultation your surgeon will examine all aspects of your chest; including breast size, nipple location on the breast, breast crease heights, ribcage shape and chest width. We will then formulate a plan that will help you achieve your desired surgical results.
